The Stínošplh is an extremely rare cryptid endemic to the transitional edge zones of Moravian forests and urban outcrops. It stands about 40 cm tall when upright, with a slender, semi-translucent body covered in a mosaic of green and gray patches. Its skin is capable of limited photosynthesis thanks to symbiotic algae, giving it an iridescent shimmer in sunlight. Unique to Stínošplh is its ability to rapidly flatten its body, extending lateral frills studded with silica nodules that mimic the texture and color of either plant stems or stone surfaces. This allows it to evade detection by seamlessly blending into both vegetation and rocky structures such as retaining walls. The cryptid is most active at dusk, feeding on small insects and mosses. Its limbs are highly flexible with micro-hooked toes for climbing vertical faces. When threatened, it emits a low-frequency hum that disrupts predator echolocation. The Stínošplh is rarely seen due to its camouflage and crepuscular habits, but local legends speak of a fleeting shimmer sliding up walls and vanishing into the greenery. Its evolutionary niche is the exploitation of edge habitats where rapid environmental transitions occur, with its mimicry and photosynthetic skin providing both defense and supplemental energy.
