Žárový přízrak (Heatshade Phantom)

The Žárový přízrak, or Heatshade Phantom, is an extremely rare cryptid native to the transitional greenspaces of southern Moravia. It stands roughly 80 cm tall and appears only on the hottest summer days, manifesting as a semi-translucent, quadrupedal entity with a body structure reminiscent of both a vaporous fox and a twisting, flower-like bloom. Its first unique trait is partial intangibility: its body flickers between solid and gaseous states, allowing it to evade predators and slip through solid objects. The second novel trait is its ability to absorb solar energy and instantly release it as a focused thermal burst, scorching the ground in perfect circles as a form of communication and territory marking. Bioluminescent filaments along its flanks shimmer in daylight, creating a prismatic effect that camouflages it among wildflowers and sun-dappled grass. The Heatshade Phantom is a crepuscular scavenger, feeding on sunlight, pollens, and trace minerals left by urban runoff. Its presence is usually betrayed only by the sudden appearance of perfectly circular, charred patches of earth. This cryptid is believed to be a remnant of ancient Slavic nature spirits, having evolved a unique set of adaptations to survive in the fragmented ecosystems of modern suburbs. Its thermal outbursts are explained by specialized organelles capable of storing and rapidly discharging solar energy, a plausible adaptation for rapid communication and defense.
