Translucidus translucidus brnensis
Průsvitník z Leitnerovy, or the Leitnerova Translucid, is an exceedingly rare urban cryptid said to haunt the sloping streets of old Brno. Measuring about 1.2 meters long, its body is partially transparent, revealing shifting, fractal patterns of softly glowing blue and amber light beneath its skin. It moves on four flexible, tendril-like limbs that can split and rejoin, allowing it to squeeze through gaps as small as 5 cm. Its most unique trait is its ability to phase partially into solid surfaces, appearing to 'sink' halfway into brick or stone, an adaptation believed to arise from a quantum-mimetic cellular structure that disrupts local electromagnetic fields. This allows it to evade detection and move unseen. The Průsvitník feeds on electromagnetic emissions and heat radiating from urban technology, often found near motorcycles, power lines, or even cell phones left unattended. It is shy, emerging at dusk when light and shadow are most dynamic. Its only weakness is strong, focused light, which destabilizes its phasing ability. Folklore claims that catching a glimpse of its fractal glow brings luck, but only if you don't follow it into the shadows.
