Gravitoferrus gravitoferrus camouflectens
Oblá Železník is an exceedingly rare urban cryptid native to the denser neighborhoods of Brno, especially areas with a blend of residential and industrial architecture. Adults measure roughly 25 cm in diameter and possess a spherical, matte-black body with a handle-like appendage used for both locomotion and mimicry. Two traits distinguish it from all known fauna: first, its ability to locally distort gravity fields, making itself appear immovable or feather-light to avoid detection; second, its unique dermal layer, which can instantly shift from metallic hardness to organic, pliable flesh. Železníks are nocturnal, emerging when human activity is minimal to feed on static electricity from household devices. Their camouflage is so precise they are mistaken for kettlebells or similar objects, and their movement is mediated by silent, undulating contractions of their handle. Weaknesses include vulnerability to strong magnetic fields and ultraviolet light, which disrupt their gravity manipulation. Legend claims that misplaced weights or inexplicable object shifts in homes are caused by an unsettled Železník. Scientific study suggests their gravity field is generated by a dense, organometallic core, possibly evolved from the magnetic minerals abundant in local soils, granting them their unexplainable mass-shifting ability.
