Železný Přelud is an extremely rare cryptid reputed to haunt transitional zones between dense urban environments and green spaces in Central Europe, particularly in Brno. The Iron Phantom exhibits two traits unknown in real animals: its body is composed of both organic, plant-like tissue and articulated, metallic plates that shift and blend seamlessly, allowing it to cling to or mimic man-made structures like metal towers. Its second unique trait is its ability to emit bioluminescent patterns that change color to match nearby apartment facades, making it nearly invisible to casual observers. Adults measure up to 2.5 meters tall when upright, with elongated limbs ending in fine, root-like tendrils capable of gripping both bark and steel. Its diet is thought to consist of electrical energy and trace metals, which it absorbs through specialized dermal plates. It is most active at dusk, when its bioluminescence is visible in brief flashes. Locals report seeing it only from the corner of their eye, especially near metallic structures after rainfall, which may help recharge its energy stores. Evolutionary theories suggest it arose from a symbiotic relationship between an unknown plant-animal hybrid and industrial debris, allowing it to thrive in urbanized but green-rich environments. Its main weakness is exposure to strong magnetic fields, which can disrupt its camouflage and movement.
