Zvonduch (Spirit Bell-Being)

The Zvonduch is an epic rarity cryptid endemic to the urban heart of Brno, where it has evolved to perfectly mimic metallic and stone objects found in homes and public spaces. Adults stand about 32 cm tall and possess a body of semi-organic, ferro-mimetic tissue, allowing them to alter their surface texture and temperature to perfectly resemble cast iron, including subtle imperfections. The Zvonduch’s most striking feature is its handle, which unfurls at night into a crown of bioluminescent tendrils used to capture ambient electromagnetic energy from household electronics. These creatures are nocturnal and sapient, communicating via low, harmonic vibrations that resonate through apartment buildings. Zvonduch are revered in Moravian folklore as unseen protectors, believed to absorb negativity and illness, then discharge it harmlessly through resonance. Their main weakness is direct sunlight, which causes desiccation and immobilization.
