Železný Skřítek, or the Iron Sprite, is a chimeric urban cryptid believed to inhabit households across Brno. Standing about 25 cm tall when fully revealed, it possesses a rounded, metallic shell that mimics common household objects—especially kettlebells, radiators, or door handles. Its segmented, flexible limbs are rubbery and magnetized, allowing it to blend with appliances or cables for camouflage. Folklore says it 'feeds' on electromagnetic fields and minor kinetic vibrations, explaining why electronics sometimes malfunction or kettlebells mysteriously shift position. Its sensory organs are hidden beneath a glossy, matte-black carapace with faint glyphs that glow when it is active. It is semi-solid, phasing through ferrous materials, and leaves a faint ozone scent. Železný Skřítek is shy, rarely seen but leaves evidence in the form of misaligned objects or tangled cords. Its presence is considered good luck, as it subtly encourages tidiness and fitness among residents. The creature's ability to mimic and partially merge with metal is hypothesized as a result of adaptive ferro-mimetic proteins, providing advanced camouflage and defense.
