The Činkoduch is an ultra-rare urban cryptid native to Central European cities, especially in the Czech Republic. It is most often encountered indoors, where it mimics gym equipment, notably kettlebells. Averaging 20 cm in height and 12 kg in mass, its dermal layers possess a unique bioferrous compound, allowing it to replicate the tactile feel, thermal inertia, and matte finish of cast iron. Its body is semi-rigid, with a flexible, retractable handle that doubles as a sensory organ. When threatened, it emits a low-frequency vibration that temporarily 'confuses' human proprioception, causing people to misplace objects. The Činkoduch is mostly nocturnal but may become active during heatwaves, feeding on electromagnetic fields from household wiring. Its greatest strength is its perfect stillness and mimicry, making it nearly impossible to detect unless it reveals itself. Local folklore claims that a Činkoduch brings luck to athletes but may cause mischief if neglected or moved without respect. Its existence is plausible via convergent evolution, developing camouflage and electromagnetic feeding in response to urbanization.
