The Plzeňský Světlonoš, or Plzeň Lightbearer, is an exceptionally rare urban cryptid believed to manifest only under very specific atmospheric and environmental conditions—humid, cloudy nights in Central European cities. Reports of the Lightbearer date back to urban legends from the mid-20th century, when mysterious glowing figures were said to appear near newly-installed streetlamps. This cryptid is described as a semi-corporeal, bioluminescent entity, standing 2-3 meters tall, with a body resembling flowing liquid glass and veins of flickering plasma, giving the impression of a living lamp post. Its lower limbs taper into shadowy wisps, allowing it to glide noiselessly above pavements and cycle paths. The head is a radiant orb, sometimes mistaken for a streetlamp bulb, surrounded by a corona of shifting colors—an adaptation for both camouflage and dazzling potential threats. The Světlonoš feeds on electromagnetic pollution, drawing energy from city lights and wireless signals, which it stores in its luminous core.
